Royal Coins 2: Hold and Win - the Rules, and the Sentence That Does the Counting

Verdict first - a 3x3 line game on five fixed lines, with one bonus where crowns on the middle reel add up the coins from the outer two. The rules fit on one scrolling page and price everything except the odds. No RTP on the page - the 95.64% in the review is the figure in Playson's guide for operators. No maximum either - the GRAND at 1,000x is the largest number printed. Nineteen bet steps, 0.20-100.00. The text below is the build's own, taken from the Game Info page of the public Playson demo on 9 October 2026 at the 1.00 our session ran.

The crown rule, in the screen's words

One sentence of the Game Info page does the counting for the whole bonus. "When dropped, each Royal Bonus symbol gathers all visible Bonus values on the reels and adds them to its own value, afterwards Bonus symbols disappear." Royal Bonus is the crown. Bonus is the coin. The crown lands on reel 2 only and sticks for the rest of the Bonus Game. Coins land on reels 1 and 3 only, and each one is gone as soon as it has been counted.

The word that matters is each. One coin, two crowns on the reel, and the coin's value goes onto both. Three crowns, three times. The screen does not spell that arithmetic out, so the portal log was checked for it. All 24 rounds, and the 23 in the two sister logs, paid the sum of the totals on their crowns to the cent. On spin 2,123 the round opened with two crowns, took in coins worth 34.00 and paid 68.00. On spin 273 the crowns closed at 211.00, 25.00 and 9.00 and the round paid 245.00. A new crown starts from nothing. On spin 1,209 two of the three crowns landed after the last coin and closed at 0.00, and the round paid the 41.00 on the first.

The Bonus Game, from trigger to payout

"3 Bonus symbols trigger the Bonus Game and Royal Bonus Feature within it." On the board that means a coin on reel 1, a crown on reel 2 and a coin on reel 3, in any rows. Those are the only reels each symbol can land on. Three re-spins to start. Only coins and crowns land during the round. Each new symbol sets the counter to three again. When the re-spins are finished, so is the round. The payment is printed on the coin, one of x1, x2, x5, x10 and x15 of the bet. When the round ends, the values held by all the crowns are added to the total win.

The portal log ran 24 rounds in 2,991 paid spins. Re-spins per round 3-20. Coins per round 2-18, more than the six cells of the outer reels can hold at once, since counted coins leave the board. Ten rounds finished on one crown, seven on two, seven on three. The one-crown rounds paid 7.00-53.00, exactly the face value of their coins. The best round paid 245.00 on coins worth 211.00.

Pile of Gold - a chance with no number on it

The page gives the feature one sentence. Any Bonus or Royal Bonus symbol landing in the main game "grants a chance of triggering" it. The feature then "adds Bonus and Royal Bonus symbols in quantity enough (or more) to activate the Bonus Game". The splash screen advertises it as a route to an extra Bonus Game. No odds anywhere.

Four of the portal log's 24 rounds started this way, on spins 44, 1,209, 2,123 and 2,242. Each time a single symbol stood on the board when the feature fired. The "or more" is literal. Twice the feature added a second crown on top of the missing coins, and both of those rounds paid double their coin value. Across the three logs twelve rounds of 47 came from the feature. The chance itself - unverified, the screens print nothing to check it against.

The lines and the paytable

A 3x3 board with five fixed lines. Lines 1, 2 and 3 are the rows from top to bottom, lines 4 and 5 the two diagonals. Three matching symbols from the leftmost reel make a line. One win per line, the highest, and a spin's paying lines add up. The red 777 is the wild and substitutes for every line symbol. It does not substitute for the coin or the crown.

Watermelon16.0016x
Grapes16.0016x
Plum4.004x
Orange4.004x
Lemon4.004x
Cherries1.001x

The page prices its paytable at a 1.00 bet. The portal session ran at the same 1.00, so the figures above are the page's own. The cheapest line returns the stake. Nothing on this board can pay less than a spin costs, and the log agrees - 301 base-game payments, 81 at exactly 1.00, none below. A screen of oranges with one wild among them paid all five lines on spin 427, 20.00. The largest base-game spin was 32.00 on spin 1,025, two lines of mid fruit. The reels paid on 10.06% of spins, a figure from the log, since no screen prints a frequency.

Coins and crowns land in the main game too. The page is direct about what they do there - "Pay only during the Bonus Game." A 10.00 coin on a board with no round under it pays nothing. Compare Thunder Coins, same board, same paytable, where the middle-reel symbol collects in the main game as well. Here it waits for the bonus.

Royal Coins 2: Hold and Win Game Info page: the paytable at a 1.00 bet, 777 wild 50.00, bells 30.00, BAR 20.00 and watermelon or grapes 16.00 for three on a line
The top of the paytable at a 1.00 bet - 50.00 for the wild, 30.00 for bells, 20.00 for BAR and 16.00 for watermelon or grapes. The three low fruits at 4.00 and cherries at 1.00 follow on the scroll.

Jackpots and the bet menu

The panel above the reels carries four jackpots, and their prices move with the bet. In bets they read 1,000 for the GRAND, 150 for the MAJOR, 50 for the MINOR and 25 for the MINI. The page says the random appearance of a jackpot coin during the Bonus Game triggers the corresponding jackpot, and that a crown gathers jackpot values like any other. Across the three logs the crowns collected a MAJOR coin twice, a MINOR four times and a MINI six times. No GRAND in 47 rounds. Jackpot coins show in the main game as well and pay nothing there - a MINI on eighteen boards of the portal log, a MINOR on three.

The bet menu runs to nineteen steps, from 0.20 up to 100.00. No buy option, no ante, no extra bet. The stake is the only price in the game. Straightforward.

What the page prints, and what it leaves out

One scrolling page. It prints the trigger, the two bonus symbols, the wild and six paytable prices. Then the Bonus Game rule, the Royal Bonus Feature, the Pile of Gold sentence, four jackpot values and five line diagrams. It closes with the malfunction clause and a version line, which read 0.10.0 on the day. An RTP, a volatility label and a maximum win are all absent. The review's 95.64% comes from the game guide Playson gives operators. The same guide rates volatility 8.53, High. Its maximum is 4,030x - the top payout met across 50 billion spins of simulation, not a rule of the game. Playson's own page for the game is no help here. It prints a release date, 22 September 2022, a 3x3 scheme and 5 lines, and stops. The largest figure the build itself prints is the GRAND at 1,000x.

The published returns are the ones the build paid. The 2,991 paid spins of the portal session returned 98.56%, and the three logs together 91.92%. Neither is a long-run rate. The 6.7 verdict is a grade for the machine and takes nothing from either return.

Known limits of this page

Known limits of this page: the text is the Game Info page of the public demo as read on 9 October 2026 at a 1.00 bet. A copy archived in May 2026 carries the same wording. The page has no line for a return, for volatility or for a maximum. The review takes all three from Playson's documents for operators and labels them so. Those documents were read on 10 October 2026 in the copies BetConstruct hosts. Odds for the Pile of Gold, for each coin value and for the four jackpot coins - not printed. The rule that every crown counts every coin is the page's own sentence plus 47 logged rounds, not a line the page spells out. No build date on the page, only the version line. The release date on the review's card is the one Playson's game page prints.

Quick answers

Does a coin pay in the main game?

No. A coin pays only during the Bonus Game, in the page's words. In the portal log coins stood on 800 boards with no round and paid nothing on any of them.

Can a crown land on reel 1 or reel 3?

Not by the page. Reel 2 is the only reel a crown can land on, and coins keep to reels 1 and 3, whichever part of the game is running.

Does a second crown take what the first already holds?

It starts from nothing and takes only the coins that drop with it or after it. Two crowns in the portal log's tenth round never took a coin and closed at 0.00.

What ends the round?

Three re-spins in a row with no new symbol. The page describes no other ending, neither a full-board finish nor a cap on a round.

Is there a bonus buy?

No. This build sells no way into the round except the stake.
