Treasures of Aztec - the Rules, the Ways, Two Counters and a Buy Button With a Limit
Verdict first - a six-reel cascade on 2,025 to 32,400 ways with a multiplier that resets in the base game and climbs through the free spins. The buy button is offered up to a 10.00 stake in the dollar copy's rules. RTP not printed - 96.71% from the studio's sheet. Max win not printed - 100,000x on the studio's page, 9,071x in its own billion-spin simulation. Bet 0.20-20.00 by the sheet's default range. What follows is the build's own text, read off an archived set of its rules screens, a dollar copy at a 3.00 stake, with every paytable example converted to the 12.00 our session ran.
How a spin pays
Six reels, five rows, plus one extra cell above reels 2 to 5. No lines on this board. Ways, counted from the left reel across. A symbol on reels 2 to 5 can be 2, 3 or 4 cells tall and counts once. The ways figure for a board multiplies the separate symbol positions reel by reel, five on reels 1 and 6 and up to six on reels 2 to 5, and the banner above the reels prints it for every new board. A tall symbol counts as one position, so tall symbols lower the figure. 2,025 at the floor, 32,400 at the top. Wins on different ways are added. After every payout the winning symbols explode, the symbols above fall into the gaps, and the board is paid again until a board pays nothing.
The paytable prints coefficients. Cash per way = coefficient x bet size x bet level, not coefficient x stake. The stake is that unit times the base bet of 20, so at the session's 12.00 the unit is 0.60. Eleven paying symbols, a wild on reels 2 to 5 only, a scatter that pays nothing of its own.
| Symbol | Printed, 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 in a row | Six on one way at 12.00 | Three on one way at 12.00 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold mask | 80 / 60 / 40 / 30 | 48.00 (4x) | 18.00 (1.5x) |
| Red mask | 70 / 50 / 25 / 20 | 42.00 (3.5x) | 12.00 (1x) |
| Pink serpent | 60 / 40 / 25 / 10 | 36.00 (3x) | 6.00 (0.5x) |
| Purple bird | 30 / 20 / 15 / 8 | 18.00 (1.5x) | 4.80 (0.4x) |
| Blue wheel | 15 / 12 / 10 / 6 | 9.00 (0.75x) | 3.60 (0.3x) |
| Green idol | 15 / 12 / 10 / 6 | 9.00 (0.75x) | 3.60 (0.3x) |
| A | 10 / 8 / 6 / 4 | 6.00 (0.5x) | 2.40 (0.2x) |
| K | 10 / 8 / 6 / 4 | 6.00 (0.5x) | 2.40 (0.2x) |
| Q | 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 | 2.40 (0.2x) | 0.60 (0.05x) |
| J | 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 | 2.40 (0.2x) | 0.60 (0.05x) |
| 10 | 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 | 2.40 (0.2x) | 0.60 (0.05x) |
One way of six gold masks is 4 bets. One way of three low cards is a twentieth of a bet. Nine of the eleven symbols pay under the stake for three in a row on a single way. The ways multiply - three gold masks on six ways is 108.00, 9x. In practice the money in this game is made by the ways count and the multiplier, not by the coefficients. The portal session's best base spin, spin 713, paid 1,341.60 off a board that grew from 4,800 to 16,200 ways while the counter climbed to x8.
Wilds-on-the-Way, step by step
Some tall symbols on reels 2 to 5 land inside a silver frame. A silver-framed symbol that takes part in a win is transformed on the next cascade into a randomly selected symbol with a gold frame. Any symbol except the wild and the scatter. A gold-framed symbol that takes part in a win is transformed on the cascade after that into a wild. The wild then substitutes for every symbol except the scatter. Two winning cascades in a row from the same frame, and the frame is a wild. The chain is reset when a board pays nothing, because the spin is over.
The multiplier, in the base game and in the feature
Base game. At the start of any spin the multiplier is x1. After wins are paid and the new symbols have cascaded down, the multiplier increases by 1. Every cascade is paid at the figure the counter shows at that moment. The next stake sets it back to x1.
Free spins. At the start of the feature the multiplier is x2. Inside a free spin, after wins are paid and the new symbols have cascaded down, the multiplier increases by 2. No reset between free spins. The counter carries into the next spin and the next, until the round ends. Straightforward, and the whole value of the feature. In the portal log the 17 rounds peaked between x4 and x30, and the counter stood at x10 or higher for 79.1% of the feature's money.
Free Spins Feature
4 scatters anywhere on the board trigger 10 free spins. Each additional scatter adds 2. Five scatters give 12 spins, six give 14. The rules say free spins can be retriggered and do not say how many scatters it takes inside the feature. Unverified - none of the 31 rounds in the three logged sessions retriggered. Free spins play at the bet size and bet level of the spin that triggered them. The win counter of the round opens with the triggering spin's own win already in it. That is how the portal log's spin 2,149 round reads 3,087.60 on its last free spin - 368.40 from the triggering spin, 2,719.20 from the ten free spins.
The portal log's 17 rounds, 16 of ten spins and 1 of twelve. First trigger on spin 308, two rounds back to back on spins 2,148 and 2,149, longest wait 780 spins. Payouts from 19.20 to 2,719.20 on the free spins alone, call it 1.6x-226.6x. Median round 967.20.
Feature Buy, the bet formula and the maximum
Feature Buy. A button under the reels opens a menu, and Start buys the free spins at the price displayed. In the dollar copy on file the price at a 3.00 stake is 150.00, 50 bets. The rules add one line the button itself does not: the Feature Buy button is available for bet amounts up to 10.00. At the session's 12.00 the button is not on the screen, and the portal log never used it. Bought rounds are played at the current bet size and level.
Bet formula. Three dials - bet size, bet level 1 to 10, base bet 20. The Game Rules text lists bet sizes of 0.01 to 0.10. The dollar copy's Bet Options menu offers sizes 0.01, 0.05 and 0.10 and levels 1 to 10. Its highlighted row reads 0.05 x 3 x 20 = 3.00. The studio's sheet gives 0.20 to 20.00 as the default range. The demo-credit copy our session ran took 12.00 on every spin and never more, and the game's own replies price that as a 0.30 size at level 2.
Maximum. Not printed on any screen of the build. The studio's game page and its Game Information sheet print 100,000x as the advertised maximum. The same sheet prints 9,071x as the largest result in a billion simulated spins. Two figures, both the studio's, neither in the game. Small print as on the studio's other builds. 90 idle days and the game resets, a malfunction voids all pays and plays, the history page has the last word in a dispute.
What the screens do not price
No RTP line on any of the fourteen paytable and rules screens, and none in the 53-screen archive of the build. The 96.71% is the studio's number. It sits on the game's page at pgsoft.com and in its downloadable Game Information sheet (PDF, version 1.0 r945, 8 July 2025). The sheet breaks it down as 69.59% main game plus 27.12% free spins. Page and sheet, not screen. The trigger rate is missing from the screens as well. The sheet's frequency table carries a 0.56% row for the feature without saying what the row counts, and one trigger in 179 spins is how we read it. No weights for the tall symbols, no odds for a silver frame, no retrigger condition. What the build paid is what I publish. 137.86% on the portal's 2,888 paid spins, 125.69% on the three-session pool, both tabled in the review, and neither one a long-run rate. The 7.5 verdict in the review grades the machine, not the run.
Quick answers
Does the multiplier carry over between base-game spins?
No. It resets to x1 on every new stake. Only the feature keeps it.
Do the ways change during a spin?
Yes. Every cascade refills the board, and the banner prints a new ways figure for it. The portal log's paid spins opened between 2,025 and 18,750, and the printed 32,400 showed three times, on refilled boards with no tall symbol left on them.
Can a free spin pay nothing?
Yes, and most did. The portal log counted 97 blank free spins out of 172. The counter kept its figure through them.
Can the wild land on reel 1 or reel 6?
Not in the rules. Reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 only. A way still needs a matching symbol on reel 1 to start.
Is the Feature Buy available at every stake?
No. Up to 10.00 a spin by the dollar copy's rules text. Our demo-credit copy ran at 12.00 and showed no button at all.
The paytable and the rules text open from the menu button of the provider's current public demo on our shelf. Read them there, on demo credits, before any money goes in.
Known limits of this page
Known limits of this page: no trigger rate on the screens. The 0.56% in the sheet's frequency table is a row the sheet never defines, read by us as one in 179. No weights anywhere for the tall symbols or the silver frames. No retrigger condition in the text, and no retrigger in 31 logged rounds to read one from. No return on the screens - 96.71% is the studio's page and sheet figure. The rules screens on file come from a dollar-denominated copy of the build at a 3.00 stake. The 150.00 buy price is that copy's menu, and the 0.20 to 20.00 range is the sheet's default. Our session's demo-credit copy ran at 12.00, a stake that menu does not list, and showed no buy button. No version number anywhere in the build, so the demo on our shelf is the same public address we logged rather than a build we can prove unchanged. All remaining figures are screen values or portal-log values.
