Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin Review: The Multiplier, Priced Over 39 Logged Rounds
Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin puts Playson's Thunder Coins chassis on a taller board of three reels and five rows, with fifteen fixed lines. It also puts two collectors on the middle reel instead of one, and the new one multiplies. The Thunder Coin sums every coin on the board, and the MULTICOIN sums them and multiplies the total by a figure drawn from x2 to x20. Our 2,705-spin demo log at a 1.00 stake opened the bonus fifteen times and closed at 90.92% on its stakes. The three-ledger pool with the two sister logs stands at 90.98% over 6,046 paid spins and 39 rounds. A multiplier was drawn in eighteen of those rounds and peaked at x7, and the x10, x15 and x20 the intro screen sells were drawn in none. The build prints no return, no maximum and no odds for any of the seven values.
- Who it suits: players who want a Hold and Win board they can read at a glance, coin values printed on the reels, a bonus that visits about as often as the original's, and a multiplier that shows up rather than staying on the intro screen
- Core mechanic: coins on the outer reels, two collectors on the middle one, and a MULTICOIN that gathers every coin on the board and multiplies the sum by a figure drawn from x2 to x20, applied to what it holds at that moment
- Key risk: the build prints no return, no maximum and no odds for the seven multiplier values; the top three were drawn in none of 39 logged rounds, and our own log waited 430 spins for its first round
- Rating: 7.0/10

Where a figure is our reading of a source, the row says so.
One symbol is new, and it turned up in eighteen of 39 logged rounds
Thunder Coins XXL is Playson's Thunder Coins chassis stretched from three rows to five, with fifteen fixed lines instead of five and a second collector on the middle reel. The original's Thunder Coin still sums every coin on the board, and the new MULTICOIN does the same, then multiplies the sum by a figure from x2 to x20. Our own log, 2,705 paid demo spins at 1.00, reached the bonus fifteen times, and its best round paid 150.00 with a x3 drawn inside it. The session closed at 90.92% on its stakes, and the two sister logs pooled with it put the three-ledger figure at 90.98% over 6,046 paid spins.
The pool holds 39 rounds, and a multiplier was drawn in eighteen of them. On paper the multiplier runs to x20, and the intro screen sells that figure on every draw. In the sample it stopped at x7, drawn twice in the same sister log, and the x10, x15 and x20 were drawn in none of the 39. This review is written around that one symbol, from what it did to a round when it was drawn to what the rounds without it paid. The 21 rounds with no multiplier had a median payout of 40 bets, and the eighteen with one had a median of 82.5. Both figures are counts from three ledgers, and neither is a statement about the game's long-run maths.
What fifteen rounds can and cannot show
One demo wallet, one flat stake and fifteen natural rounds (n = 15) set the limits before any finding does. At 95% the exact Poisson interval leaves the natural trigger anywhere from one per 109 paid spins to one per 322, around the one per 180 the log produced. The pool's 39 rounds narrow that band, which then runs between one per 113 spins and one per 218. Fifteen rounds describe how the bonus is built and cannot price it; 39 rounds cannot price a multiplier whose top three values never appeared. The 181x that tops the pool is one event in a sister log, and nothing below treats it as a rate. What the ledgers can show is structure, the two collectors, the paytable behind them, the size of a round with and without a multiplier, and the base game between visits.
Fifteen lines on a tall board, and a paytable priced in halves
The board is three reels of five rows, and fifteen fixed lines run left to right across it, with the highest win per line paid and every paying line added. Nine regular symbols pay for three on a line, and a three-reel board has no four or five of a kind to offer. The wild is the red 777, and it stands in for everything except the coins and the two collectors. Coins land on the first and third reels only, with a value printed on the face, and a coin with no collector beside it pays nothing on its own. The Thunder Coin and the MULTICOIN land on the middle reel only. The table below gives the lines at our session's stake of 1.00, taken from the build's own paytable screens, which use that same stake.
| Symbol | Three on a line at 1.00 | In bets |
|---|---|---|
| 777 wild | 30.00 | 30x |
| Bells | 10.00 | 10x |
| BAR | 8.00 | 8x |
| Watermelon, grapes | 4.00 | 4x |
| Plum, orange, lemon | 1.00 | 1x |
| Cherries | 0.50 | 0.5x |
Values are the build's own paytable figures at a 1.00 bet, confirmed by the log on all 1,673 spins that had no coin or collector in the stops. A single line of low fruit paid 1.00, a single line of cherries 0.50, and a screen of nine lines of one mid fruit paid 36.00. Three of the nine symbols return exactly the stake for a line, one returns half of it, and the other five clear it.
The original Thunder Coins runs five lines and pays 50 bets for a line of sevens, whereas this build runs fifteen and pays 30. The lines tripled and the per-line pays fell, which is the usual trade when a studio widens a board. The cherries now return half the stake on a line of their own, and 42 of the 358 base-game payments in our log came in under it. The collectors fire in the base game as well as inside the bonus round. A Thunder Coin beside any coin sums the coins on the board and pays them on the spot, and a MULTICOIN does the same and multiplies the sum. The reel stops of the log show a collector beside at least one coin on 54 spins outside the bonus, 38 of them a Thunder Coin and sixteen a MULTICOIN. Every one of the 54 paid, from 3.00 to 48.00, and their 586.50 together is 39% of the base-game money. Of the eleven base-game spins that paid twenty bets or more, five were a MULTICOIN beside coins. The other six were screens that filled five to nine lines with one fruit, or three lines with BAR. On the 56th paid spin a MULTICOIN landed beside four coins on the right reel, and the badge cycled through x15 and x7 before settling on x5. The wallet took 40.00 for that spin, and the log's largest base-game spin, 48.00, came the same way, four coins on the left reel and a x5.
The bonus pays by the collector, and the multiplier lands where it lands
Coins on the first and third reels, with a Thunder Coin or a MULTICOIN between them on the second, open the Bonus Game. The board swaps to coins only, the counter starts at three respins, and every new symbol puts it back to three. Coins carry 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x or 8x the bet on their faces, and collectors land on the middle reel only and stick there. A collector gathers the coins on the board into its own value. The MULTICOIN multiplies what it gathers by one of seven figures, x2, x3, x5, x7, x10, x15 and x20, and in the bonus it can draw again. The rules give that second draw one line, a chance to retrigger additional random multipliers, with no count and no odds attached. When the counter runs out the collectors' values are added up and paid. Four jackpot coins, MINI at 15x through GRAND at 1,000x, can appear during either collector's feature and pay their tier.
The log holds fifteen rounds in 2,705 paid spins, and the table reads them in order. Every payout is what the wallet moved between the triggering stake and the settlement, checked to the cent. The peak multiplier is the highest badge the log recorded in that round. Four of the fifteen opened on a collector that the reel stops did not hold and that arrived after they settled. Whether that was the random MULTICOIN of the rules or their Pile of Gold, the record doesn't say, and the other eleven had the collector in the stops.
| Round | Trigger spin | Respins played | Peak multiplier | Round payout | Payout ×bet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 430 | 10 | x3 | 150.00 | 150x |

| 7 | 1,290 | 9 | none | 30.00 | 30x |

| 14 | 2,457 | 8 | none | 52.00 | 52x |
| 15 | 2,465 | 10 | none | 13.00 | 13x |
| 15 rounds | one per 180 paid spins | 153 | x5 at most | 954.00 | 63.6x average |
The trigger spin is a count of paid spins, matching the checkpoint table of the session report. A peak of none means no multiplier was drawn in the round; the median round paid 52.00 against a mean of 63.60. The eight rounds without a multiplier held the median down, and the three x3 rounds pulled the mean up.
The column that sorts this table is the multiplier, and the sort is not subtle. The eight rounds without one paid between 13 and 52 bets, with a median of 27. The three rounds that drew a x2 paid 85, 94 and 102, and the three that reached x3 paid 80, 134 and 150. The one round with a x5 paid 67, and that figure is the useful one, because it shows what the multiplier is applied to. A MULTICOIN multiplies the coins it holds when the figure is drawn, so a x5 on a thin board is worth less than a x2 on a full one. The sister ledgers say the same thing in larger type, with two x7 rounds that paid 54 and 61 bets. Their best round, 181 bets, was a x5 drawn on twelve respins of coins, and the other sister's best, 112, drew no multiplier at all. The rounds are short as well, from eight respins to seventeen in our log, and the outer reels were gathered into the collectors before every close. The middle reel held at most four collectors at a close in our log and five in a sister's.
One frame in the log deserves a paragraph of its own, because it shows a coin the wallet never paid. Round 12 closed with a MINOR jackpot coin, worth 30.00 at our stake, sitting on the left reel beside three collectors reading 29.00, 33.00 and 5.00. The wallet took exactly 67.00, the sum of the three collectors, and the 30.00 was not in it. The rules say a jackpot coin that appears during a collector's feature pays its tier, and the frame shows a coin that appeared and a payout without it. Whether it landed after the round's last collection or was never a live coin, one frame can't say. The question sits on the rules page as an open item for the next build. A MINI coin did appear inside the first round, on the frames, and that round's 150.00 is the largest the log holds.
The other 2,690 spins
The reels paid something on 358 of the 2,705 paid spins, and with the fifteen bonus settlements counted the log returned something on 372 spins, 13.75%. Of the 358 base-game payments, 42 came in under the stake, 88 matched it exactly and 228 cleared it. With the round settlements counted, 330 spins, 12.20% of the log, returned the stake or more. The median payment was 2.00, two bets, and the table of sizes is flat. There were 224 payments between one and five bets, 81 between five and twenty, and eleven of twenty or more. The base game returned 1,505.50 across the whole log, 55.66% of the stakes, and the interval around that figure runs from 45.9% to 65.4%. The longest stretch with nothing returned ran 40 spins, in the last fifth of the log.
The balance line has one shape, a rise to a high and a long slide. The first round waited 430 spins, and the wallet stood 180.50 under the start when it opened. Six rounds inside the next 776 spins lifted the meter to its high of 11,109.50 after the sixth of them, 109.50 above the start. From there the log gave back 355 bets over its final 1,499 spins, with nine more rounds inside them that paid 449.00 together. It closed at 10,754.50, which was the lowest reading of the whole run and the last one. The later gaps between triggers ran from six spins to 387, and the log ended 240 spins after its last round with nothing more.
I prefer a base game that keeps the meter moving, and this one moves it more than the original does. The first Thunder Coins paid from its reels on 9.93% of the portal's spins with no payment under the stake. This build paid on 13.23% of its spins with a twelfth of those payments under it. The difference in this log is fifteen lines of small change against five lines of slightly larger change, and I name the preference as a preference. Between collectors the meter fell by a little under half a bet per spin, consistent with the other Hold and Win boards on this shelf.
Three ledgers, one direction each
Three Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin ledgers sit with the SlotLab testing team, and all three ran at a flat 1.00 on the same public demo. Ours is Session ID TCXM-20260729-01, logged in late July on a demo balance of 11,000 credits. The other two are June logs from the network's dedicated sites, 1,634 paid spins at thundercoinsxxlcasino.com and 1,707 at thundercoinsxxlslots.com. Each matches the figures its page publishes, to the cent on one and to a stake on the other. Pooled by money the three put down 6,046.00 and got back 5,500.50, which is 90.98% combined. The pool's best complete round is the sister's 181 bets, and it carries the tested figure on the card above, with ours the 150 in the table.
| Source | Spins | Observed return | Bonus rounds | Best complete round | Net result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CasinoReview.click | 2,705 paid | 90.92% | 15, one per 180 | 150x | −245.50 |
| thundercoinsxxlcasino.com | 1,634 | 104.13% | 15, one per 109 | 181x | +67.50 |
| thundercoinsxxlslots.com | 1,707 | 78.47% | 9, one per 190 | 112x | −367.50 |
| Three ledgers pooled | 6,046 paid | 90.98% | 39, one per 155 | 181x | −545.50 |
Every line is its ledger's own arithmetic on paid stakes, and the pooled row is the sum of three returns over the sum of three stakes. The thundercoinsxxlslots.com page prints 78.53% and a closing credit of 10,633.50 for the same session, one stake above the ledger's 10,632.50. The page's reading was taken from the screen before the last stake settled, and the table carries the ledger.

Three ledgers that closed at 104.13%, 90.92% and 78.47% are three afternoons, and the widest gap between them is 26 points. The hit frequencies sit within four tenths of a point of each other, 14.14%, 13.75% and 14.06%, which is the base game doing the same thing in three rooms. The bonus clocks did no such thing, at one round per 109 spins, per 180 and per 190. The sister with the fastest clock finished ahead and the two slower ones finished behind, and the round count is the whole of that story.

Forty-nine screens, and the return is on none of them
The build's info pages run to 49 screens, and between them they cover the paytable, both collectors, the bonus rule, the jackpot tiers, the buy prices and the extra bets. They print no return figure anywhere, no label for volatility and no maximum win. The 95.65% on the card comes from third-party databases, which also list a 94.65% configuration, and neither figure can be checked against the build. The studio's own page for the game carries the release date and the feature description and no return figure, the same silence its Thunder Coins and Royal Joker pages keep. Our log came back at 90.92% on paid stakes of 2,705.00, the three-ledger pool at 90.98%, and both are sample figures rather than the long-run rate. I would expect no closer agreement than that from three logs of this length, and the spread is the sample size talking rather than the machine.
The prices the build does print are the ones for skipping the wait. A Bonus Game with at least one collector costs 75 bets, and a Super Bonus Game with a Thunder Coin and a MULTICOIN guaranteed costs 175. The MULTICOIN Bonus Game, with two MULTICOINS guaranteed, costs 250 bets and is the dearest of the three. The Double Chance extra bet raises the stake by half and doubles the trigger chance in the rules' words. The Thundercoin Spin costs five stakes, puts a collector on the reel every time and triples the chance. Set those prices against the ledgers, where the median natural round paid 59 bets across the pool and six of 39 rounds cleared a hundred. Paying 75 bets for a round that paid 59 in the middle of its table is the arithmetic of impatience. The 250-bet option buys two multipliers whose drawn values the rules never price. None of the 39 rounds was bought, and these logs hold no answer to what a bought round pays.
Editor's note: reading the RTP numbers. Stated RTP for this title comes from third-party databases, checked 29 September 2026, and one of them lists a 94.65% configuration beside the 95.65% on the card. Playson's own page for the game carries its release date and feature description but no return figure, checked 30 September 2026. The tested demo build prints no return line in its 49 info screens, so we have not independently confirmed the RTP configuration of that build. Our tested figure is the pooled return of the three logged demo sessions behind this review, calculated by money as total returns over total stakes on paid spins, 5,500.50 over 6,046.00, and the CasinoReview session alone returned 90.92%. Even a pooled sample of a few thousand spins is not the game's long-run maths. Live RTP is an operator choice: many games ship in several RTP configurations and the casino picks which one to run, so always check the RTP in the game's info screen before you bet real money. More in our guide to stated vs observed RTP.
What the XXL changes, and what it keeps
The nearest comparison on this shelf is the machine this one was built from, Thunder Coins, logged on the same July day at the same stake. The original keeps three rows, five lines, one collector and a jackpot ladder that starts at 25x. The XXL takes five rows, fifteen lines, two collectors and a ladder that starts at 15x, with the GRAND at 1,000x on both. The original's pool of 6,343 spins returned 100.84% with 48 rounds, one per 132, and a median round of 48 bets. This pool of 6,046 returned 90.98% with 39 rounds, one per 155, and a median of 59. The two clocks overlap once their ranges are drawn, so the ledgers can't say which board triggers faster. What they can say is that the original's lightning feature appeared in none of its 48 rounds, and this build's multiplier appeared in eighteen of 39. The new symbol is the first Thunder Coins feature this portal has priced from a log. The two machines are set side by side, base game against base game and round against round, on the comparison page.
What it looks like from the chair
The client runs in landscape with the tall board in the centre and the jackpot tiers priced in currency above it. A lightning storm runs behind the reels for the whole session, at the same pace on a losing spin as on a paying one. Coins land with their values printed large, so a board can be read at a glance, and a collector arriving on the middle reel flashes before it starts gathering. The multiplier reveal is the one piece of theatre the client allows itself. The badge spins through higher numbers, x15 and x7 in the frames I kept, before settling on the figure the round gets. From the studio side that is a deliberate pause, and it sells the top of the range on every draw. In the bonus the board strips to blanks and coins, and the collectors stack down the middle reel with their running totals. The respin counter sits under the coin pile at the bottom left, and the pile swells during a round, the one decoration that moves with the bonus. At autoplay pace a spin settled in under two seconds and a ten-respin round in under forty.
What the ledger suggests
- The multiplier is applied to what the MULTICOIN holds when it is drawn, not to the round. A x5 on a thin board paid 67 bets in our log, and a x3 on a fuller one paid 150. The rounds with a multiplier had a median of 82.5 bets across the pool, and the rounds without one 40.
- In this sample the base game paid two bets in the middle and half a bet at the bottom. Of 358 base-game payments, 42 came in under the stake, and 330 spins of 2,705 returned the stake or more.
- Read the 90.98% as three sittings pooled by money and not as a rate of the game. The pool is plain arithmetic on logged stakes and returns, and its three parts closed 26 points apart with the same base game in each.
- Demo credits are still 18+ credits, and every figure here was logged on them.
Where the demo lives, and where the sister pages are
All of our sessions run on the provider's public demo, as our methodology page sets out. A demo balance leaves a record that can be checked reading by reading and published with its frames. The build of Thunder Coins XXL on our shelf is launched in the page from the public address our log used. Two more pages on the game sit on the network's dedicated sites, and both carry a playable build beside their own sessions. Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin FAQ
What is the RTP of Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin?
Third-party databases list 95.65%, with a 94.65% configuration beside it, and the build's 49 info screens carry no return figure at all. Our session returned 90.92% on 2,705 paid spins and the three-ledger pool 90.98% on 6,046. Neither figure is a long-run rate, and which configuration your casino runs is only readable on its own info screen, so check there first.
How does the MULTICOIN work?
It lands on the middle reel only, gathers the value of every coin on the board and multiplies what it holds by a figure drawn at random. The seven values run from x2 through x3, x5, x7, x10 and x15 to x20, and in the bonus the symbol sticks and can draw again. Across 39 logged rounds a multiplier was drawn in eighteen and the peak was x7. The rounds with one had a median payout of 82.5 bets against 40 for the rounds without.
How often does the Bonus Game trigger?
Coins on the first and third reels with a Thunder Coin or a MULTICOIN on the second open it. The Pile of Gold feature can add the missing symbols on any coin landing, in the rules' words. Our log opened fifteen rounds across 2,705 paid spins, a rate of one per 180, and the first of them waited 430 spins. The pool's 39 rounds in 6,046 spins make one per 155, and the 95% interval around it spans one per 113 through one per 218.
Did any jackpot tier land in the logged sessions?
The tiers are 15x, 30x, 100x and 1,000x the bet, and a jackpot coin pays its tier when it appears during a collector's feature. The frames of our log show a MINI coin inside the first round, which paid 150 bets. They also show a MINOR coin still on the board when round 12 closed, and that round paid 67 bets without the 30. No MAJOR or GRAND coin shows in the closing frames of our fifteen rounds, and both sister pages report neither tier landing.
Is the bonus buy or an extra bet worth it?
The buy costs 75, 175 or 250 bets depending on how many collectors are guaranteed, and the extra bets cost half a stake or four extra stakes per spin. The median natural round across the pool paid 59 bets and six of 39 cleared a hundred, so the cheapest buy pays for itself on a minority of rounds. None of the 39 logged rounds was bought, and this log holds no sample of what a bought round pays.
Can I play Thunder Coins XXL: Multicoin for free?
Yes, Playson's public build runs on demo credits inside the page on our Demo Shelf. The paytable and the bonus rule we read from its screens are restated on our rules page. A short run may hold no round at all, and a round may hold no multiplier. The age rule is the same at a demo balance as at a cash one, 18+.
My reading
Thunder Coins XXL is the third pressing of a chassis I have now measured twice. The new symbol is the first feature in the family to show itself to a log. I rate it 7.0, a tenth above Thunder Coins and level with Fortune Tiger and Little Farm, with two deductions behind that figure. The first is disclosure, and it is the studio's habit on every board it has sent to this shelf. The build prints no return, no maximum and no volatility label, so the 95.65% on the card is a database figure the player can't read in the game. The second is the headline, a multiplier sold as up to x20 on the intro screen with no printed odds for any of its seven values. The ledgers put the drawn figure at x7 or less in all 39 rounds, which is a count and not a verdict on the top three. Nothing here is a charge for events the log didn't produce, and the multiplier that stopped at x7 is a count as well. What lifts it above the original is a mechanism that can be priced from the table above. The base game pays on 13.23% of spins instead of 9.93%; the board reads at a glance with its values printed on the coins. The multiplier reveal that flashes x15 before settling on x5 is the one thing I would take out, and I say that as taste. Buy the machine for a bonus on a clock the ranges can't separate from the original's, paid by the collector. Read the badge as what the round drew, and not as what the box promises.
